Course Summary:
The session is addressed to nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists, and oncologists who wish to gain information about the clinical and literature data about the role of Nuclear Medicine in the management of patients affected by multiple myeloma. The role of [18F]FDG PET/CT and [18F]FDG PET/MR imaging will be discussed underlining problems and advantages. Alternative agents other than [18F]FDG will be considered.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the current available data about multiple myeloma and PET.
- Define the role of PET/CT, PET/MR in managing patients with multiple myeloma.
- Consider alternative agents for PET imaging able to improve the detection and the management of multiple myeloma.
