High-dose radioligand therapy requires a unique set of institutional procedures and protocols, but with certain safety measures in place, your healthcare institution can provide this treatment regimen that is shown to improve quality of life and perhaps survival for patients with metastatic and unresectable pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma. This complimentary one-hour webinar will examine the practical considerations needed to introduce mIBG therapy, including:

  • Oncologist’s Perspective
Bhavana Konda, MD, MPH, Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center
  • Nuclear Medicine Physician’s Perspective
David Taieb, MD, PhD, University Hospital of Marseille
  • Radiation Safety Officer’s Perspective
Maxwell Amurao, PhD, Washington University in St. Louis

Program Objectives:

  • Personal, Institution and Home Radiation Safety protocols required to provide HS-MIBG
  • Proposed workflows that could address logistical challenges and regulations that can be barriers towards starting a radioligand program.
  • Experiences regarding reimbursement, exploring cost differences between carrier-free mIBG and generic mIBG.

Debbie Cohen, MD, Director, Pheochromocytoma/Paraganglioma Neuroendocrine Tumor Program, University of Pennsylvania
